What Participants See

This page walks through what a participant experiences from invitation to payout. Useful for setting expectations with stakeholders and for spotting friction in your own studies.

1. The invitation

Participants get an email from noreply@userevaluation.com with:

  • The study description.
  • Estimated time commitment.
  • The incentive amount.
  • A unique invitation link (single-use, tied to their email).

If you brought your own contact list, the invite uses your study's branding and copy.

2. The welcome page

The link opens a hosted welcome page that summarizes the study, sets expectations, and asks for consent. Participants accept the consent terms before continuing.

3. The screener (if any)

If your study has a screener, participants answer it next. Failing the screener ends the session politely; they don't take a slot.

4. The study

Depending on the type:

  • AI-Curated Interview. They test their mic, then start a live call with the AI agent. Average duration matches what you set in the wizard.
  • AI-Curated Survey. Chat-style Q&A with adaptive follow-ups. Typed only.
  • AI-Generated Survey. A standard form, single submit at the end.
  • Live Interview. They pick a time slot, get a calendar invite, and join a video call with you at the scheduled time.

5. The wrap-up

After they finish:

  • They see a thank-you page with any redirect URL you configured.
  • Any incentive queues for payout. Pool participants get paid within 24 hours.
  • They can return any time via the participant dashboard at app.userevaluation.com/participant/dashboard to see payout status and previous studies.

What we don't do

  • We don't surface participant emails or PII to other workspaces.
  • We don't sell or share the participant pool externally.
  • We don't auto-charge participants. Money flows one direction (out to them).

Common participant questions

  • "My link expired" / "I see an error." Invitation links are single-use. If a participant accidentally closes the tab mid-study, ask them to email support@userevaluation.com with their invitation; we can reset the session.
  • "When will I get paid?" Payouts process within 24 hours of completion. Visible in the participant dashboard.
  • "Can I redo my answers?" Once submitted, no. Keeps data integrity.
