AI Insights

Insights come from the chat agent, not a separate panel. There is no Insights tab and no per-file insights view; you get findings by asking.

How they work

Ask the chat agent a research question:

  • "What are the top pain points across all interviews?"
  • "What did people say about onboarding?"
  • "Surface the recurring themes about pricing."

The agent searches your transcripts and answers in the thread, citing the files behind each claim. Click a citation to jump to the source.

Proposed insight cards

When you ask the agent to find, surface, or list insights or themes, it runs its propose_insight_cards tool. Instead of writing anything to your board, it renders the proposals inline in the chat as cards, grouped by category. Each card has an Add to collection button; you decide which (if any) to keep. "Add all" saves a whole category at once. Saved cards land in your Collection under a column named after their category.

Insights vs. tags vs. clips

  • An insight is a finding the agent surfaces, with a source.
  • A tag is a label you apply to one or many transcript spans. See Tags.
  • A clip is a downloadable slice of audio/video. See Clips.
