Selection Toolbar

Highlight text inside a transcript, document, or chat response and a small toolbar appears above the selection. The toolbar turns the selection into something durable.

What you can do

The toolbar surfaces these one-click actions:

  • Copy. Plain copy to clipboard. Always available.
  • Clip. Captures the corresponding audio/video range as a clip. Shown only on audio/video selections.
  • Redact. Blurs the selected span in the audio/video. Shown only on audio/video selections; the blur appears once processing finishes.
  • Tag. Pick an existing tag or create one. Tagged ranges show up in the Tags tab. Always available.

Multi-line selections

For transcripts, you can select across multiple utterances and even multiple speakers. The clip and tag span the full range.

Tips

  • Tag as you read. Tagging while you go through a transcript is faster than re-reading later.
  • Use clips for moments you'll share. Tags are for analysis; clips are for export.
  • Press Esc to dismiss the toolbar.

The toolbar surface is the same across transcripts, documents, and chat responses, so the muscle memory transfers.
